Just a Real Good Brown Beer.

Been away from brewing for a while and I very much need some brown beer. I’m basing this recipe on the Voyager series of bitters, though i’m upping the crystal malts and adding a touch of roasted barley for a darker and more complex flavour. To stop this turning into a syrup i’ll be using M44 yeast. I find this to be very aggressive and effective at eating all the sugar it comes into contact with. Bittering with magnum because its the best and im flavouring with EKG because its also the best.

3500g Maris Otter
200g Double Crystal
200g Special B
HOPS
20g Magnum 10aa @ 60 minutes (19.18 IBU)
80g East Kent Goldings 5aa @ 5 minutes (6.88 IBU)
YEAST
1 packet of Mangrove Jacks M44.
